Dear Tony, Iris, Aphrodite and Emma, Really devastated to hear that Maria is no longer with us, although it’s nearly impossible to forget her comments and advice, her jokes and laughter. Every one that has worked and met Maria feels very deep her absence. She did not suffer fools easily and she defended her ideals, but she was generous to her friends. She was an avid reader and she made us, her colleagues, to fall in love with her favorite writers. She now goes to join all her beloved heroes, (from inspector Maigret to George Smiley). Rest in peace dear Maria
